This photographic triptych depicts a beggar with leprosy, a piece of art with a woman covering her eyes with Band-Aid, and the artist photographing himself. The work literally questions the self-centered position of the artist in relationship to the ‘world’ and the ‘gallery’. Self-portrait as a young artist is also called ‘My eyes are hurting from all that looking’.
